Bro. Jordan Hodges- Pastor
Sunday, March 4, 2012
The Lord kept us safe during the storms last week. We contenue to pray for those who lost their family members and their homes throughout the Midwest and through the Southern States.
Brother Jordan brought his sermon this morning from the book of Acts Ch. 9:1-19 niv.
Saul’s Conversion on the Road to Damascus
Acts: ch. 9:1-4
1 Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest 2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. 3 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”
Jesus changed Saul’s name to Paul after Saul’s conversion.
What is your name? You are called by different names now that you are a Christian? Before, we were His enemy and now that we are His, he will show us what to do.
Gods enemy was changed to His Insturments when we seek to discover our purpose in our lives in living for Jesus.
“Preach Christ all the time and when necessary use words.” Pastor Jordan’s quote today!
