Calhoun Baptist Church
Rev. David Van Bebber, Paster:

This wonderful Holiday Season to celebrate our Savior’s Birth has been slow getting here, but it is about over for another year. We must keep the Spirit of giving all year long in our lives for one another. The message for the Fourth Sunday of Advent was brought to us by Brother Jim Vickers and Sister Heather Hollinger who filled in for Sister Judy Vickers, who was unable to attend the services for today.

On Christmas Eve there was a Candle Light Service to honor our Savior’s Birth. It is so good to be reminded of where Jesus was born and why he become our Savior. It is also good to live in a country where we can show openly our honor and love for Him! God loves us all so much that He sent his only begotten son to a lowly manger to be born and greeted for the first time by humble Shepherds. They stopped watching their flocks that night He was born and followed the Star that they saw over the place where He was born. They were a perfect example for us today!

The reading of the Word this morning was chosen by Brother David, from the book of:

John ch. 10:10 & 11 also verses 27-30.

Our attitude in our Spiritual life should be always “Do one more thing to further the Kingdom of God. The life lived to the fullest for Christ is one that keeps on doing one more thing for Him!
