Calhoun Baptist Church News Sunday June 16, 2013~
Rev. David Van Bebber, Pastor:
Brother Terry Barrow welcomed everyone
and announced the upcoming events. Brother Terry also lead us in our
opening prayer.
Sister Heather Hollinger, assisted by the young people, honored each Dad with a box of Chocolates for Fathers Day!
During Praise and Prayer Request time some of our members gave us a report on
their visits with Brother David. Brother Jeff Hollinger reported how his family had found Brother David looking
so good and how he is a true testimony of how God has truly been with him and
God has answered many prayers during all of his surgeries. Sister Debbie
Willings also reported about their visit with Brother David last week. How he was so pleased to see them the day
after his surgery on his left foot.
Our guest Speaker this morning was Brother Nathan Sinclair. His sermon
was
about faith in God and his righteousness.
The main verse for his sermon was Romans Ch 1:17. niv.
For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
Also Habakkuk 2:4 niv.
See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright— but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness—
We will continue to pray for our Pastor David’s complete recovery back to
good health. We also request your prayers for him too!
