Calhoun Baptist Church News October 27, 2013~
We all know when the organ music stops that is being played by Sister Phyllis Richardson it is time for our worship service to be begin. Our very own pastor, Brother David Van Bebber welcomed everyone and made all of the announcements for the last week of October and for the month of November.
We enjoyed the Contemporary Praise Song this morning by Mercy Me called “Word of God Speak”.
The Word of God did speak today when Brother David brought his message from the Book of Matthew the 13th. Chapter 47-50 was the reading of the Word this morning.
The parable of a Dragnet is the one we learned about today. The kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea, and gathering fish of every kind; and when it was filled, they drew it up on the beach; and they sat down and gathered the good fish into containers, but the bad they threw away. So it will be at the end of the age; the angels will come forth and take out the wicked from among the righteous, and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. These parables Jesus spoke to many and not all accepted him. Only the ones with hearts ready to believe that He was and is the Son of God that takes away the sins of the world by the blood He shed on the cross.
Thought for this week: God extends undeserved favor to us according to our needs and His Will.
