Calhoun Baptist Church News March 29, 2014~
Rev. David Van Bebber, Pastor:
Our worship services were opened with prayer and we sang the Doxology “Bless Be the Tie That Binds”.
After our updates on prayer Request and a report of all the wonderful praises we have to share and give many thanks for them. Our Pastor prays for each person listed on the Prayer Concerns!
Brother David’s sister, Hannah and her family were visiting. It was so good to meet this wonderful little family. Sister Hannah is so talented and uses her talents for honoring God with great enthusiasm.
The “Morning Devotion” was by Sister Hannah Gray. She sent praises to the Lord in her Music Presentation with her beautiful singing voice! Her Devotion was sharing her Testimony for the Lord and she spoke about how our plans do not always go along with God’s Purpose for us. She was showing a time lapsed film of her brother David, incorporating it in with her program.
We listened to the song “We Will Thank Him in Storm” while she was speaking about this awesome Miracle from God we have witnessed in our Brother’s Healing! We will forever praise the Lord for our Pastor David!
You should have been there to see his marvelous progress and hard work getting back to good health! As his congregation we have seen just that!
Our Ladies Tea in the afternoon provided by the G. A. Girls and their Teachers, Sister Shonda Self and Sister Heather Hollinger was very well attended, with all enjoying our speaker Sister Hannah Gray. She also treated us with one of her special songs. The evening was a wonderful time at Drakes Chapel Methodist Church for the Singspiration with the area churches participating with their singing. The Gray family visited there with us and Sister Hannah performed more beautiful songs for us!
Our Prayer concerns are for Brother David ~Wanda Fields ~Dakota Oakes ~ Gus Self~ Anna Myrtle Hansen~ Claudean Brown~ Norman Mantonia~ See the extended prayer concerns list on the bulletin board.
