Calhoun Baptist Church News September 7, 2014~
Rev. David Van Bebber, Pastor

The Choir and Congregation sang “Blest Be the Tie That Binds”
Our worship service was opened by Brother Terri Barrow with greetings, announcements and Prayer. The Praise and Prayer Request time is always a time for telling others about how the Lord has blessed you and your family or request prayer for yourself and others. Our singing praises to the Lord is always a time of praising God with great joy.

We were blessed to have Brother Jeff Hollinger bringing the message this morning.
He began first with his Testimony for the Lord. Then he had his message built around the scriptures of the Book of Romans:

Romans 3:23, how we have all sinned and fallen short of Gods glory.

Then in the Book of John:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that who so ever believes in Him shall not perish but have ever lasting life.

Brother Jeff brought his sermon from the Bible and we all should expect that from everyone that speaks at our church,.
It is a wonderful thing to know that we can have eternal life with God.

Our Prayer concerns are for: Pastor David Van Bebber, Joy Fields,
Patti Merritt, Dan Henry, Andrew Frisbee, Chris Wilson, Shirley Matteson, Lisa Blackaby, Gerald & Frances Barrow, Connie Jones
