Church News – October 11th

How wonderful it was to be in the Lord’s house to worship with other believers. We sang ”Let Us Break Bread Together” and celebrated the Lord’s Supper. Pastor Mark Abney brought his sermon from the book of Acts 12. Peter was imprisoned with a jailer on each side. An angel of the Lord woke him up and Peter’s chains fell off. Peter walked out of prison. God had other plans for Peter and God has plans for each one of us.

Please remember Rena Galloway, Dan Henry (in the loss of his home to fire), Gary Johnson, Jim Greer, Paula Kohl, Charles Decker, and Robert Fields in your prayers. Praise the Lord for his faithfulness.

We celebrate the birthdays of Charles Brown on October 5th and Vernon Kampe on October 6th. May God bless them with many more.

In Gospel Kid’s we continue with our unit titled “God the Provider”. This week the lesson was “Nehemiah Heard News of Jerusalem” from Nehemiah 1-2. Nehemiah prayed that God would help His people rebuild Jerusalem’s walls. All children in kindergarten through sixth grades are invited to come join us on Wednesdays from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.
