Church News – October 25th

“My Jesus I Love Thee” was the hymn we opened our worship with on Sunday morning. How good it was to be in the house of the LORD. Pastor Mark Abney brought a sermon titled Paul’s First Missionary Journey from Acts 13:1 – 14:7. When we become a Christian God gives us the Holy Spirit who guides us. Being led by the Holy Spirit, Paul and Barnabus set out on the first missionary journey. They preached the good news of the gospel message to the jews and gentiles. There were signs and wonders and many people were being saved.

Our prayer requests this week include Joan Rasmussen, Vickie Kreisel, Ken Willings, Tom Graham, Dan Henry and Rena Galloway. God is faithful and answers our prayers. Please lift these up to Him.

Joe Irwin had a birthday on October 22nd. We wish him a very happy birthday. Pam and Terry Townsend celebrated a wedding anniversary on October 14th. Our best wishes go out to them.

Gospel Kid’s continued with our unit titled “God the Provider”. The lesson this week was Jerusalem’s Walls Were Rebuilt from Nehemiah 3-6:16. Children are learning the answer to “Does God keep His promises? Yes, God is always faithful even when we are not.” Children in kindergarten through sixth grades are invited to come join us on Wednesdays from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.
