Soteriology. The Study of Salvation was the title of Pastor Mark Abney’s sermon taken from the book of Acts 15. Salvation is through Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone. There is no other way to salvation. Read the word of God, the Bible, to know the truth. Don’t add or take away anything from the word of God or take another persons word for what it says. Know God’s word for yourself.

Our prayer requests this week are for Joan Rasmussen, Darlene Fabyanic, Rena Galloway, Dan Henry, Pat Kampe, Ken Willings and Berkeley Engelhart. We rejoice in knowing the Lord hears our prayers and answers everyone.

Gospel Kid’s continued with our unit titled “God the Provider”. Our lesson this week was Ezra Read the Law from Nehemiah 8:1-12. Ezra read God’s word to teach the people how to obey God. Our big picture question is “Does God keep His promises? The answer is yes! God is always faithful even when we are not. We invite children in kindergarten through sixth grades to come join us on Wednesdays from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.

Our annual Trunk or Treat was held in our back parking lot on October 31st from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Decorated car trunks and loads of candy were available for all those venturing out on a cold evening.

Celebrate Recovery is every Sunday evening. Supper starts at 5:30 pm followed by large group worship at 6:30 and small groups at 7:30 pm. Come and see for yourself how God is at work.

You are wanted to worship with us at Calhoun Baptist Church where we are living, sharing, and telling the story of Christ. Sunday School begins at 10:00 am with a class for every age then Worship follows at 11:00 am. Come and be a part of the body of Christ.
