Services for Claudean Brown

Claudean Brown, age 75, Clinton, Missouri passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Overland Park Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas. Fond memories and condolences may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com. Visitation is on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri. Funeral service will be on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 1 pm also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to be made to the Calhoun Baptist Church or to Children’s Mercy Hospital and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Claudean was born on April 19, 1944 in Ozark County, Missouri to John and Lula Lamb. She was easy to get along with and truly loved God and people in general. Claudean married her best friend, Charles Brown on March 28, 1965. Together they raised two sons with Gods guidance. She was an active member of the Calhoun Baptist Church, she attended Sunday School and Worship services. She also sang in the Choir and took part in the Prayer Chains. Claudean was the Librarian and Flower Coordinator for their church as well. She loved to go fishing and go to flea markets. She made flower arrangements for several weddings for friends and family.

Claudean was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Francis Lamb, Roy Lamb, Richard Lamb and Ray Lamb, two sisters, Lorraine McKinney and Vera Poinset and her twin brother at birth.

Claudean is survived by her husband Charles, sons, Darrin (Rita), Green Ridge, and Danny, Sedalia, sisters, Charlette Sexton, Cathy Huckaby, Lucille Greer and Sharon Huckaby, grandson, Thomas (Katherine), great-grandson, Oliver and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home.
