We came together for worship on a beautiful morning. Our opening hymn was “There Is Power In the Blood” and we greeted one another in fellowship. Pastor Mark Abney’s message was titled Pass the Mustard. This parable of Jesus was from Matthew 17:14-20.
We continue to lift in prayer Pat Kampe, Carla Smith, Cooper Ayers, Jerry Reiners and the victims of the Nashville area tornado. Pray also for our country during the concern over the Coronavirus.
The Gospel Kids lesson this week was “Jesus’ Baptism”. Jesus never sinned, but He obeyed God and was baptized like sinners are baptized. Baptism reminds us of Jesus’ death and resurrection. It reminds us that when we trust in Jesus, we turn from sin and start a new life – a life lived for Jesus. Children ages kindergarten through sixth grade is welcome to join us on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.
Celebrate Recovery continues Sunday evenings starting with supper at 5:30 pm, large group worship at 6:30 and small group at 7:30 pm. The lesson last Sunday evening was TURN. T – trust Jesus as Lord, U – understand that you should acknowledge God in all your ways, R-repent of your sins, N – new life is found in God. How has relying on your own understanding caused problems in your life? Come join CR.
