The Great Remedy For Your Spiritual Blues was the sermon title Pastor Mark Abney chose for his text Isaiah 55:1-3. Jesus is our shield and we have no reason to fear. Who is invited in this remedy? God invites the poor and thirsty and the rich and thirsty (thirsty for His word). God is willing to revive our hearts. He holds nothing back. To receive God’s spiritual remedy pay close attention to God’s word. He will lift you up out of your spiritual blues. Receive what only God can give.
Prayer is needed this week for Doug Cooper, Susie Reynolds, the Don McCalister family, and our country. Please continue to remember those with Covid and those who are being the healing hands of God. Thank you, God, for hearing and answering our prayers.
Celebrate Recovery continues every Sunday evening beginning at 5:30 with a meal, worship at 6:30 pm followed by small group at 7:30. The lesson Sunday was POWERLESS. P – pride, O – only if, W = worrying, E – escape, R = resentment, L – loneliness, E – emptiness, S – selfness, S – separation. Romans 7:18 says “I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.” How has pride stopped you from asking for and getting help to overcome your hurts, habits, and hang-ups? Come and check out CR.
