Church News – March 26th 2021

We opened our worship with the song “Since Jesus Came Into My Heart” which paired well with Pastor Mark Abney’s message titled Jesus Lifted Up.  He chose John 3:14-15 as his text.  In the midst of a pandemic, God has never left us.  He remains ever faithful.  Just look around you and see God at work.  In this broken world we must lift Jesus up.  He said we must be born again.  That means to ask Jesus to be your Savior.  Choose life through Jesus Christ and lift Him up in your life.

We wish a very happy anniversary to Charles and Margaret Fields who celebrated their special day on March 21st.  Happy birthday wishes to go to Miss Georgia Willings who turned 8 years old on March 20th.

It was so refreshing to be able to delete several folks from our prayer list as the Lord has answered our prayers concerning them.  Praise His name.  Our concerns this week go to Kay Pogue, Pat Kampe, and the Grant Gillard Family.   Please remember them during your prayer time.

Celebrate Recovery continues each Sunday evening beginning at 5:30 pm with dinner.  At 6:30 pm worship begins followed by small groups at 7:30.  Come check out CR and leave your hurts, hangups, and habits behind.

We are collecting offering monies for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering throughout the month of April.  This offering is used for North American mission work.  You can be a part of helping in the spread of the gospel through your donation.  Please pray about what the Lord would have you give.

Drive-in, inside, and live streaming of our worship service is available.  To hear the worship service within the city limits tune your radio dial to 93.1 FM.  Live streaming of our worship service begins at 11:00 am.   Check it out by going to our Facebook page and you can worship with us in real-time.  Pastor Mark’s sermon is also available as a podcast on our website.

We hope that you will continue to support the church with your tithes and offerings during this difficult time.  If you are unable to come in person, please mail your offerings to Calhoun Baptist Church, PO Box 33, Calhoun, MO 65323.

Come join us for Sunday School beginning at 10:00 am and Worship at 11:00 am.  We look forward to greeting you.
