The greatest attribute of any mother is her faith. Using 2 Timothy 1:3-7 as his text, Pastor Mark Abney shared 6 characteristics of faith in his sermon titled A Mother’s Faith. 1. Faith is real and genuine. 2. Faith is living. 3. Faith is contagious. 4. Faith is action. 5. Faith is encouraging. and 6. Faith is bold. Our faith should be real and something we can stand on because of our love for Jesus. On Mother’s Day, we celebrated our mothers by presenting each one present with a beautiful plant. How thankful to God we are for mothers.
Our prayer concerns this week are for Pat Kampe, Kaye Brooks, Dalton Creach, Kay Pogue, Jim and Shirley Bilbruck, and the Forrest Pinkston Family. Be faithful in your prayer life because God hears and answers every prayer.
We want to congratulate Gracie Hollinger on her graduation from Calhoun High School Friday, May 14th. We pray she has a bright and happy future in all her endeavors.
Celebrate Recovery continues each Sunday evening beginning at 5:30 pm with dinner. At 6:30 pm worship begins followed by small groups at 7:30. Last week’s lesson was a spiritual inventory. We must openly examine and confess faults to God in our mind, body, family, and church. “Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord.” Lamentations 3:4. Come check out CR where you can leave your hurts, hangups, and habits behind.
